When Morace Park bought a can of nitrate film on eBay for $5, he was surprised to discover that it contained footage of Charlie Chaplin.

The inventor was utterly astounded when his friend John Dwyer, a former member of the British Board of Film Classification, told him that he had discovered rare footage of the performer, and possibly an unknown Chaplin work. Unlike many nitrate films, the contents of this 1916 can were still intact.

Tending to her promotional duties as the face of the brand, Scarlett Johansson attended a Mango collection launch party in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday night (November 11).

Held at Caja Magica, the “In Good Company” actress posed for pictures and mingled with a guest list including Vanessa Romero, Eugenia Martinez de Irujo, Dree Hemingway and Ana Garcia Sineriz, among others.

The Mango outing comes as Miss Johansson readies for her turn on the Broadway stage in the Arthur Miller play “A View From the Bridge”.

Slated for a 14-week run, Scarlett’s duties will begin with previews starting on December 28, while the show will officially open on January 24.

Keeping on top of her glamorous look, Halle Berry was spotted dropping by a Beverly Hills skin care clinic this afternoon (November 11).

The Academy Award winning actress flashed her beautiful smile as she strolled past paparazzi, wearing a black and grey ensemble complete with black thigh-high boots.

In related news, Miss Berry recently sat down for an interview with NBC’s Natalie Morales, which will air on a NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams segment tomorrow night.

During her talks, the 43-year-old revealed, “My mother was a battered woman and that was my childhood for a good chunk of it.”

Using the experience as an inspiration to help others, Berry became involved with Jenesse Center - which offers help for domestic violence victims.

Expressing her fondness for being able to work with the residents at the LA treatment center, Halle whole-heartedly tells, “I care, I really care about these women and children.”

Making the most of their night on the town, Fergie and Dita Von Teese were spotted having quite the good time together at the VIP Room in Paris, France on Tuesday night (November 10).

With Fergie’s band members Will.i.am and apl.de.ap also on-hand, the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman and her burlesque dancing gal pal sipped on wine and champagne while getting quite cozy on the dance floor during the course of the evening.

Later on, Dita switched gears and headed over to a gentleman suitor while Fergie and her bandmates entertained the lively crowd.

The sighting comes in the midst of marital affair allegations surrounding Fergie’s husband, Josh Duhamel, with an Atlanta-based stripper claiming to have hooked up with the “Transformers” stud in early October.

NEW YORK – Longtime CNN host Lou Dobbs shocked his viewers Wednesday by announcing that he would be leaving the network effective immediately.

The daily host of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" addressed his viewers after giving the day's headlines and told them Wednesday's show would be his final time in the anchor chair.

"This will be my last broadcast," he said.

He said CNN had allowed him to be released from his contract early and that he was considering a number of options for the next stage in his career.

"I will let you know when I set my course," he said. He said he wanted to "contribute positively to a better understanding of the great issues of our day."

CNN President Jon Klein in a statement hailed Dobbs' "appetite for big ideas, the megawatt smile and larger than life presence he brought to our newsroom."

"With characteristic forthrightness, Lou has now decided to carry the banner of advocacy journalism elsewhere," Klein said. "We respect his decision."

The longest-running anchor on CNN's air, Dobbs was one of the nation's leading financial journalists before turning his program in a more opinionated direction. His persistent advocacy against illegal immigration angered many.

"I'm the last of the original anchors here on CNN and I'm proud to have had the privilege of helping to built the world's first news network," he said.

CNN's average prime-time audience was third behind Fox and MSNBC during October, and it was even eclipsed by sister network HLN among younger viewers, according to the Nielsen Co.

Dobbs has written three best-selling books: "Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit" in 2007, "War on the Middle Class" in 2006, and "Exporting America" in 2004.

So I have been hearing a lot about Aion since it came out. Thing is, I'm not hearing in-depth opinions on it. I refuse to play WoW because I am a natural obsessor and am too afraid I'll start ignoring my real life to play it. LOL. Not that likely, but I'm not risking it. Hubbs played WoW for less than 6 months before he ran out of stuff to do/obtain and got bored with it and quit.

Hubbs' friend lent us his cd, but we still need to cough up $50 for a cd key and we're not willing to do it without significant understanding of the game [since we can't try it out].

So, here's what I'd like to know from those of you who play/played Aion.

GUYS THE FRECKLES ARE FAKE

I went to a free physical therapy clinic hosted by Probility Physical Therapy and Running Fit after work today. My knee is still swollen after 3 days of icing it and staying off of it. As I was considering making a doctors appointment, and cancelling it if it got better before then, I remembered about these clinics and it just so happened that today is the 2nd Wednesday of the month when they do it! Yeah!!

He couldn't be completely sure what is wrong with it but he looked it over and bent, twisted, and stretched things in every which-way. It is definitely swollen around the whole kneecap and he thought I may have done something not-too-serious to the miniscus like bruised it, and also that the fat pad is swollen. He didn't think it was serious and that it can probably be self-corrected, which is good.

Anyway he told me to stretch and ice massage it, stick to cross-training for a few days, and then try running. Start with 2 miles... once I have a successful 2 miles... get another successful 2 miles before increasing to 2.5 or 3. Sigh. Guess I will have to ditch my 5K training program until this gets better and just hope it is sooner rather than longer.


It also has me rethinking my plan of running a marathon in the spring. I am THIRSTING to run another marathon. But it would probably be good for me to run a couple of halves first. I could start training for a half after my 5K on Dec. 5th, and just train distance. Then train for another one, having the distance base, and work on speed, and THEN do my next marathon. I was really excited for the next full distance though, ya know? But it may be time to look at some revised plans.

And then I guess my next thing would be asking for suggestions of training plans for a half that do not involve speedwork but are not purely for a first-time runner? I have run 2 half marathons and a full. I'd like the plan to have 5 days of running but little to no speedwork. Suggestions?
